What has been your most rewarding training experience?

I designed and delivered a course that made such an impact on the delegates, that when they found out a Director was visiting their office, they wanted to tell him what they gained from the course. Their creative presentation impressed him so much he endorsed the full role out of my course. That was three years ago and I still keep in touch with some of the delegates to this day.

Any bizarre or amusing training stories?

Just like most trainers, I love my flip chart and flip chart pens and once whilst completely absorbed, I didn't realise that I hadn't put the lid back on, as I continued I somehow manged to get red pen all over my face! Luckily for me a kind delegate let me know during the next break.

What made you want to become a trainer?

My Manager asked me if I could go to training for a month to help out and I never went back! I love the fact I can make a difference and that every group is so different.

What would you be if not a trainer?

I have often fancied being a forensic scientist, I would love all that research and being able to solve a mystery or two

Which four words describe your training style?

Fun, encouraging, real & challenging

Feedback you’d most like to get from a delegate following your course?

"This has been the best course I ever been on and I am about to change the way I work forever"

Feedback you’d probably get from delegates following one of your courses?

"Everyone else was going & I didn't really know why I was going, but as the day went on I really enjoyed it"

Any words of advice for a delegate about to go on one of your courses?

Bring along an open mind, be prepared to challenge & give it your best shot, as this is what I will bring along too.

What’s the most fun you’ve ever had while on a training course?

Throwing a organic egg off the roof of a car park with a homemade parachute to try to help "Eggbert" reach his destination in one piece. Great fun & a very competitive team building day was had by all.

What’s the most important ingredient in order for a course to be successful?

A clear objective for the event, fresh content, a pinch of enthusiasm & a sprinkling of practical application
