Richard Dunstan

17 years operational management and training experience

What has been your most rewarding training experience?

Each and every time I see someone’s ‘light-bulb moment’

Any bizarre or amusing training stories?

I left my flies undone after a ‘visit’ and every time I lent forward my white shirt tail popped out much to the amusement of the delegates – they didn’t tell why they were giggling until the first break!  How embarrassing!

What made you want to become a trainer?

I attended a training programme early on in my career delivered by someone who completely blew me away with their passion, knowledge and sheer genius

What would you be if not a trainer?

An astronaut, racing driver, football player, Big Brother contestant or house husband

Which four words describe your training style?

Energetic
Passionate
Enthusiastic
Fun

Feedback you’d most like to get from a delegate following your course?

‘You inspired me’

Feedback you’d probably get from delegates following one of your courses?

I loved it and want to go back and put the things I’ve learnt into practice

Any words of advice for a delegate about to go on one of your courses?

Come along with an open mind and be ready to learn – I know you’ll enjoy it and take away huge amounts.

What’s the most fun you’ve ever had while on a training course?

Being on a course where I feel and continue feeling that I could change the world

What’s the most important ingredient in order for a course to be successful?

An environment and trainer who makes me feel comfortable enough to ‘open up’, learn and use it.
