Training room large enough to house 10 people comfortably with space for smaller group work and room to move around. Also a flipchart & paper; projector & screen please.

Who's this course for?

This workshop will increase the confidence of for individuals who want to positively influence in order to achieve mutually beneficial solutions in collaboration with colleagues and clients. These skills will lead to more co-operation and productive relationships.

Overview

A highly interactive workshop that includes discussion, theory and practical sessions. Recent studies have highlighted that those organisations that are enjoying excellence in their market segments tend be organisations where there is an authentic culture of open and collaborative communication at all levels, both within the organisation and with customers/clients. The competence to influence with integrity is therefore a key behaviour we need to hone and develop.

Objectives

• Clearly recognise the difference between influencing, persuading and manipulation
• Develop productive working relationships built on trust and mutual respect
• Use effective questioning and listening techniques to understand others
• Use different influencing styles by adapting their behaviour and communication
• Consider the clients’ agenda in order to flex their own style
• Identify and manage conflict and move towards co-operation using influencing techniques
