Executive Coaching
How Does it Work?

Executive coaching is a confidential and highly personalised development process designed to support individuals in achieving their goals, enhancing performance, and unlocking potential.

Through focused, 1:1 conversations, our ICF qualified coaches work with you to explore challenges, clarify thinking, and identify meaningful actions. The agenda is set by you — whether you're aiming to strengthen your leadership, navigate change, build confidence, or achieve specific career or personal goals.

Rather than offering advice or solutions, coaching provides a safe, structured space to reflect, gain new insights, and develop your own strategies. It encourages accountability, self-awareness and long-term growth, helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

The benefits of Executive Coaching

Executive coaching is a powerful, focused and effective development tool for leaders or managers in any organisation. 1:1 coaching sessions are skilled and targeted conversations that challenge and support coachees to help themselves and their business, to excel over the long term.

Through confidential, focused conversations, the coach helps the coachee gain clarity, overcome challenges, build self-awareness and develop strategies for success. This tailored support fosters accountability, confidence and long-term change, making it especially effective for leadership development, career transitions and personal growth.

Businessman Thinking

Executive coaching works best when it:

  1. It is used to help drive culture change in an organisation.

  2.  Helps individuals to address specific issues or enhance their performance when taking on a particularly challenging work role or project.

  3. Provides professional and personal development that is particularly appropriate for those in senior positions who have little time and for whom being lonely at the top can be a common experience.

  4. Is driven by the needs of the coachee. Working with an experienced coach is about assisting people to achieve their full potential, with a focus on what they want to achieve now and in the future. It is a partnership between the coaches and the client for a defined period of time

Our Executive Coaching is fully tailored to the needs of each coachee and works with real-time challenges being faced here and now.   The more a company develops its team, the more value they are to them.  Coaching is one of the most cost-effective and focused ways of doing this, by putting the emphasis on the skills of the people and achieving quick results.

So how does this work?

Our coaches listen, question and challenge in a non-judgemental way to help the coachee explore various options, draw their own conclusions and enhance not only their own performance but also that of those around them.  Coaching can take place virtually and at mutually acceptable times with each session lasting between 1 to 1.5 hours from a number of “banked” hours, per person.

Interview

What to expect from an Executive Coaching programme

Our coaches provide an independent pair of ears with whom you can talk about the things you may be unable to talk about with other people inside your business and therefore confidentiality and trust are key.

Some ground rules and a coaching contract need to exist between all parties involved: the person from within the organisation who initiated the coaching programme, known as the sponsor (usually the client’s employer, line-manager or HR), the coach and the individual being coached.

The sponsor of the programme does not get specific feedback as the sessions are confidential. However any trends identified by the coach will be fed back to the organisation, with the full knowledge of the coachee.

How many sessions do delegates need?

At this stage it’s impossible to define without fully understanding the needs for the 1:1 coaching.  However, based on working with other clients - we are recommending 12 hoursper coachee over a 10 -12 month period.
