Overview
The world of work is changing at a pace that is challenging even for the most resilient or experienced. Understanding each other’s differences, motivations, reasoning, and responses becomes ever more challenging as we may have 5 generations and diverse cultures coming together daily. We all need to develop resilience, find happiness and retain optimism in a world that can feel cynical and overwhelming. Positive psychology is a branch of psychology that explores how we all approach these areas. Founded by Martin Seligman, the model of PERMA (Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment) was developed to identify the selected areas that drive success, strength and growth and in the workplace is used to encourage engagement, creativity and resilience.
