Overview

In today’s hectic and competitive business environment, it can be very easy to focus on what we do not have, or have not done, as opposed to what we have got or have done. We are bombarded with negative images, thoughts and words by the media and some of the people we interact with on a regular basis. Is it any wonder that many people tend to feel and think pessimistically about the world around them? It has been proved that those with a more optimistic outlook on life tend to have more success in achieving their goals. They tend to have more effective and productive relationships in all areas of their lives. Optimists believe that any misfortune is temporary, and rise to the challenge of dealing with it.

The good news is that positive thinking can be learned. This one-day, highly practical workshop will give participants tools and techniques to change the way they think and behave to develop a more optimistic approach. “If we do what we have always done, we will get what we have always got”. The course mainly uses NLP (Neuro Linguistic Progamming) techniques to become clear about what they want, and to facilitate any changes required.

Objectives

• Understand what drives our behaviour
• Be clear about what they want, and to form motivational objectives or outcomes
• Understand why they seem to demonstrate negative behaviours and how they can be changed
• Use a powerful technique to identify and overcome limiting beliefs and other self-imposed barriers
• Use some tried and tested techniques to develop confidence
• Prepare a plan of actions they can take at a number of different levels to enable them to think more positively in a variety of situations.
